Be careful, this is not eating 5 fruits + 5 vegetables per day, but 5 fruits and vegetables. And it all depends on the size. In short, we take stock of the quantities (really) recommended with our dietician, Mathilde Gibeaux.
In fact when we say that we must eat 5 fruits and vegetables per day, this is not entirely true … We rather say vegetables at will and 3 portions of fruit per day. Good to know: one serving is equivalent to 80 g. So pay attention to the size of the fruit. For example: half a grapefruit is the equivalent of a fruit!
The quantities recommended
A fruit is, for example:
– 1 apple
– 1 pear
– 1 orange
– 1 half grapefruit
– 1 half pineapple
– 2 kiwis
– 2 clementines
– 1 beautiful slice of watermelon
– 1 bowl of strawberry
A portion of vegetables is (you need at least 3):
– 80 g of raw vegetables
– 4 tbsp. pan
– fried vegetables – 1 bowl of vegetable soup
The best benchmark: your fist corresponds to the equivalent of one serving of fruit or vegetables.
